Just what is a secret/mystery shopper?
It's no secret that respected companies like Sears, Disney and Red Lobster have used secret shoppers for years. These companies need your objective opinion of their establishments and their staff. They will hire YOU to pretend you're an average customer and then report back on your actual experience!
They need to know what happens when management isn't looking over the employees shoulder!
They have identifiable questions or issues they want you to investigate for them.
You simply submit your review and get paid!
It's so easy! I absolutely LOVE IT! |
Basically, a mystery shopper is someone who visits a business, typically a retail store, bank, restaurant or other such places - for the express purpose of observing and measuring customer service, product quality and the environment of the establishment in general.
Shoppers are given details, by the mystery shopping company, about expectations for making specific observations and they complete reports, often using an online form.
A mystery/secret shopper serves as the eyes and ears for those clients as part of their efforts to enhance the quality of the customer?s experience.
Many times, the information collected during mystery shopping programs is used to help clients improve training programs, better put into words expectations they have of their personnel, and otherwise improve the ways in the client serves its customers.
It's fun, it's easy, you make money and you get to - eat out, shop, see a movie and/or have fun at amusement establishments. What could be better? Your going to love making money as a secret shopper! |

As A Mystery Shopper, You'll Enjoy...
Freebies: You'll be compensated for everything you need to buy. For instance, say you buy a lunch, the company will reimburse you for that lunch - it's free! If you buy a product, you will get reimbursed and can keep the product, too.
A limited timetable: Most jobs don't require you to spend more than an hour evaluating a company or business. This means more time for you and your family and in the bargain, earning some cash.
Accommodating schedule: You pick the time and day you want to do your evaluation. This means that you can do this, in addition to any other job you might currently have. Also, you may make child care planning that fits into your family's to-do list.
Another thing I love, no costly office/business clothes to buy: I can pretty much do this job in almost anything.
All this means more unrestricted cash for the important things in life; things like an afternoon with the kids at the pool, or a trip to their favorite fast food restaurant!

Why do companies hire Mystery Shoppers
For any business to be successful, they must maintain customer satisfaction. An organization can better serve its customers if they understand how their customers are being assisted and if their product or service is being sold or presented as they intended.
Objectively measuring service is essential because studies have found that only 5% of unhappy customers register complaints, 95% simply stop returning to the business after a negative experience.
Mystery Shopping Companies and their shoppers are the link that keeps the Corporations informed and allow for improvements or necessary changes to be made for a more positive customer experience. | |
